DSRIP is a funded program which works with a population of individuals which are hospitalized on the medical unit and are identified as additionally having and alcohol/ substance abuse program. DSRIP identifies these patients and engages them using motivational interviewing while they are still on the medical unit. Upon discharge, the patient is connected to various support networks including treatment facilities and housing, welfare, etc. in order to reduce the likelihood of the alcohol / substance abuse issue reoccurring.
The BA clinician is the engagement point following discharge from the hospital and assisting the patient in the linkage of services. Also keeps the statistics for the DSRIP program. Assists in the coordination of activities including roundtables and hospital staff education.
B.A. or B.S. in Psychology, BSW, or related human service field required. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Valid driver’s license in good standing required. Loss of same must be reported to Supervisor immediately.
1-2 years experience in providing case-management and/or clinical services to substance abuse population required 1 year experience in a fast-paced environment is strongly preferred. Ideal candidate has strong leadership potential: self-starter who can work independently and follow-through on tasks All new hires who are in recovery must attest to having one year of sobriety and abstinence. In addition, all new hires are required to sign an Affidavit of Recovery. Must comply with TRMC paid state-level criminal history record background check supported by fingerprint check prior to hire.
