Job Description

Trinitas School of Nursing continues to educate future nurses for 21st century healthcare, the faculty is very cognizant of the many changes that must be addressed and adapted by nursing curricula. As a LPN to RN Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
  1. 10 month contract
  2. Summer hours: Overload- 3 hours per week X 14 weeks for coordinating NURE 270 and NURE 260 including preparing and grading exams.
  3. Hours: 20 contact hours per week (classroom, clinical, and lab hours) per contract Contact hours are applied to 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM when LPN to RN students are in class or clinical
  4. Office hours: 4 hours per week per contract
  5. Teaching load:
    1. Fall semester- Teach NURE 212 + 1 clinical group = 4 credits teaching & clinical (Lab)
    2. Fall semester- Participate in NURE 291 hybrid course (Leadership and Management)
    3. Spring semester- NURE 250 (6 credits) + 1 clinical group= 6 credits teaching& clinical
    4. Summer sessions- Coordinate NURE 260 & NURE 270 (overload)
    5. Prepare and update syllabi of all LPN to RN courses
    6. Prepare and update LMS materials for all LPN to RN courses
    7. Develop, administer, analyze all exams for all LPN to RN courses
    8. Prepare reports of LPN to RN courses for Curriculum Committee
  6. If two cohorts will run during the year (fall and spring), teaching load will adhere to contract
  7. Attend faculty meeting at a minimum of twice a month (Monday mornings)
  8. Member or chair of faculty, college, or hospital committees
  9. Participate in recruitment and registration of students
  10. Attend clinical affiliation meetings with facilities hosting LPN to RN students
  11. Attend Trinitas commencement
  12. Pursue continuing education activities
  13. Other faculty responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

MA or MS in Nursing required; Doctorate preferred; NJ RN license. 2 years of patient care experience; 1 year experience in Nursing Education preferred.
