Learning Simulation Lab Instructor

Develops, implements and evaluates evidenced-based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab in coordination with course faculty. Participates in simulation activities as primary instructor or as technical support to faculty. Demonstrates nursing skills and techniques to students. Uses information technologies skillfully to support teaching-learning process including the use of high-fidelity human simulators. Utilizes critical thinking skills to effectively communicate information, observations and/or activities to appropriate individuals. Recommends additions and deletions to the Library. Provides individual and small group tutoring in the Lab. Provides ongoing feedback to students related to their strengths and weaknesses in the performance of skills. Demonstrates professionalism and sensitivity when interacting with students/peers. Tactfully handles rude and/or confrontational students.
Serves as a role model for professional nursing. Adheres to School’s Faculty Code of Conduct.
MA or MS in Nursing required, Doctorate preferred. NJ RN license. 2 years of patient care experience and 1 year nursing education experience preferred.
