Job Description

In this role you are responsible for the overall management of the Paramedic Training Program at Union County College (Plainfield Campus) including development of the curriculum and ensuring that the program maintains the required accreditations. Your responsibilities shall include teaching courses in accordance with schedule of classes and incorporating interactive approaches, technologies and methods; Maintains accurate grade and attendance records for students enrolled in classes and submits required reports to Department Chairperson/Program Director and/or Student Records Office; Participates in assessment of learning outcomes and demonstrates the use of the results of these assessments in course planning.

Job Requirements

Educational Skills Required:

Master’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Education is preferred. Current National Registry Paramedic Certification

Current NJ Paramedic certification (or must obtain within 3 months of employment) Current AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) instructor certification. Current AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) instructor certification.

AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) instructor certification. Compliant with all federal, state and accreditation requirements.

Work Experience Required:

A minimum of 3 years field experience as a Paramedic and previous experience in a training or educational setting required. The Paramedic Training Program Manager must possess the following skills and attributes: management and leadership skills; organizational skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
