The out-patient Center treats chronic non healing wounds with state-of-the-art therapies. The Dept utilizes a physician-driven, multi-disciplinary approach to achieve a healing rate of 95% with a median days to heal of 31. Some of the wounds treated are: diabetic ulcers, neuropathic ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous insufficiency, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds, vasculitis, burns and other non healing wounds. Advanced modalities such as skin substitutes, sharp debridement, biologics and hyperbaric oxygen therapy are used to treat patients.
High School or equivalent certifications program. Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communication in English sufficiently to perform duties of the position. Completion of an accredited program in medical assisting or its equivalent. Current CPR certification. Three years experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient, sub acute or acute setting.
