Job Description

The EIP ( Early Intervention Program) is a grant-funded program that provides HIV Care & Treatment to patients age 18 and older. Through the use of a multidisciplinary team approach, individualized treatment plans are developed for each patient with the goal of achieving and maintaining an undetectable HIV viral load. The RN, as part of the team, will conduct intakes, assessments, and screenings of the patient and provide education in the area of medication adherence, risk reduction behaviors and nutritional counseling.

Qualified candidates will ideally have experience in caring for HIV positive patients, proficiency in venipuncture skills and bilingual Spanish would be a plus.

This position is for 20 hours/week; no benefits. Shift hours are Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM. No weekends or Holidays.

Job Requirements

Registered Nurse with a current license in the State of New Jersey; Bachelor of Science/Arts in Nursing or related field preferred; National HIV/AIDS Nursing Certification (ACRN) preferred; Phlebotomy certification; Orasure trained. Previous nursing experience one year minimum in the field of HIV/AIDS; Previous experience with people living with HIV/AIDS; Computer literate; Proficient at WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and OUTLOOK a plus; Proficient at Internet searches and E-Mail a plus; Communication/telephone skills.
