Job Description

Seeking applicants for a per diem Simulation Lab Technician for our school of nursing department. This person is responsible to assist with the daily functioning of the nursing simulation laboratory by helping to plan and implement simulation activities and maintain the orderly operation of the simulation lab. Essential functions of the role include but are not limited to; provide technical support for all simulation operations, including preparation, maintenance and repair of patient simulators (software and hardware) and related multimedia peripherals as well as software programming of clinical scenarios. This position will collect, process and coordinate data in support of simulation studies and education, and arrange, perform and record simulations and interviews. They will also help to development new environments or props. The person may also perform as a live patient, patient voice or other role as needed.

Job Requirements

HS diploma required. Proficient in computer skills. Experience with MS word, excel. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical majors preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. IT experience. Comprehensive knowledge of computer operating system, hardware and software. Ability to type. High fidelity simulation experience preferred.
