The Ultrasonographer performs ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of disease; follows standards set forth by the ARDMS. Performs imaging and related procedures in the following areas; Abdomen, OB/Gyn and small parts. The Ultrasonographer demonstrates knowledge of the human structure and functions, principles of sonic energy. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Follows all established Ultrasound, Radiology and Hospital Policies and Procedures and is proficient exams both within and outside of the Department.
CPR; Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or will be ARDMS certified within 6 months of hire. Required; Successful completion of a comprehensive course In diagnostic medical ultrasound. Two years as staff Ultrasonographer preferred.
